Our Story

Featherle Pet Care Chantilly has deep roots in the Northern Virginia pet care community. As part of the Canine Clippers family, our salon carries forward a long tradition of grooming excellence built on over four decades of professional experience and innovation.



Founded by master groomer Linda Law, Canine Clippers and Featherle Pet Care have become synonymous with quality, compassion, and grooming education. We have proudly served generations of pet families and continue to raise the bar for what grooming should be. Our commitment to consistent care and ongoing learning has earned us recognition as one of the area’s top grooming destinations, including two honors from Washingtonian Magazine.

Meet the Canine Clippers Family

Linda Law, NCMG – Founder and Director

Linda Law is a National Certified Master Groomer and the founder of Canine Clippers, Inc. She brings over 40 years of grooming experience and leadership to the industry. She is certified by both the National Dog Groomers Association of America and International Professional Groomers, Inc.


Linda’s influence reaches far beyond the grooming table. She founded the Canine Clippers School of Pet Grooming in 1982 and the Virginia Groomers Association in 1987. In 1993, she was named Enterprise Woman of the Year by Virginia Women in Business of Northern Virginia. Over the years, she has spoken at national grooming conferences, judged competitions, and helped groomers across the country launch their own salons, mobile grooming businesses, and in-home setups.


Linda also raises Toy Poodles and Arabian horses on her farm in Central Virginia. Her lifelong dedication to animals and education continues to shape the mission and values of Featherle Pet Care Chantilly.

Mari Dancause Fleck, NCMG – Manager

Mari Fleck is the Manager at Featherle Pet Care Chantilly and a National Certified Master Groomer. A graduate of the Canine Clippers School of Pet Grooming, Mari joined the team in 1994 as a bather and quickly rose through the ranks with her talent, drive, and attention to detail.


Mari is an award winning groomer with multiple national honors, including first place in Creative Styling at Groom Expo in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and wins in Feline Fantasy and Mixed categories at Intergroom, New Jersey. Her grooming work spans all AKC breeds, and she is especially known for her artistic touch and custom order styling.



Beyond her grooming skills, Mari is deeply committed to the health and emotional well being of every animal in her care. She has a special talent for working with dogs that are typically hard to handle, including those that even veterinary offices may struggle with. Her background in art and her sensitivity to animals’ personalities make her a uniquely skilled and empathetic leader. Mari shares her home with her husband Ray and continues to lead the Chantilly team with compassion and vision.

Jenny Wilkerson, NCMG – Master Groomer

Jenny Wilkerson is a National Certified Master Groomer with more than 25 years of experience in the pet grooming industry. Since joining Featherle Pet Care Chantilly in 2005, she has become known for her gentle approach, technical skill, and deep understanding of animal behavior.


Jenny’s grooming journey began with her first Cocker Spaniel, whom she groomed personally for his entire life. That experience sparked a lifelong passion that has led to national recognition and a successful grooming career. Jenny specializes in small breed grooming and is especially skilled with high maintenance breeds like Bichon Frise and Cocker Spaniels.



What sets Jenny apart is her ability to read a pet’s body language and adapt her approach to their needs. This level of insight and care creates a positive grooming experience, even for pets that are timid or sensitive. She sees each pet as an individual with a story to tell and takes the time to listen. Jenny lives with four dogs of her own, including Calli and Emily, two Parti Cocker Spaniels, Prince the Chihuahua, and Rusty the miniature Poodle.

We are especially experienced in working with dogs who are nervous, elderly, or new to grooming. Many of our longtime clients started with anxious dogs who now look forward to their visits.
