Canine Clippers offers kindergarten, basic, and novice obedience classes. Why is obedience training important? Clearly we should want our pet companions to develop behavior that meets or exceeds standards acceptable to humankind. It is also essential for the following reasons: Your own pleasure, comfort, and satisfaction, your dog's happiness, well being, and satisfaction, along with your dog's acceptance by your community, friends, and neighbors, and to earn Obedience Titles offered by the American Kennel Club.

The basis of obedience is in choosing a method, selecting a technique, and in applying proper timing of reinforcements and praise. This is the foundation of good training. Patience, persistence, repetitive correction, and PRAISE are a few essential elements leading to success. Your determination and love for your dog will play important roles to motivate training.

Kindergarten Classes are for puppies under six months. Instruction will include some basic work but mainly this class emphasizes socialization of your puppy in a variety of situations. All work is done on leash.
