Elaina Wells began an apprenticeship at Canine Clippers School of Pet Grooming as a Bather/Brusher in 1997. She graduated from the school and is now a Certified Groomer, who has won awards at MAPP for styling a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle. She went on to become instructor at the school and also managed Featherle Pet Care in Sterling. Elaina has also worked for ‘Groom 'n Glory’ in Centreville. She now grooms part time at our School, until her baby is older.

As a child, Elaina felt an affinity with animals and has always had an intuitive sense of how to befriend a suspicious or unfriendly pet. People urged her to become a Vet. She didn’t want to participate in surgical procedures, so she felt grooming best met her aspiration for caring for pets. She emphasizes that pet owners accept that the groomer must work with the pet’s natural coat and cannot work miracles by producing a result not possible for that particular breed.

Elaina was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in Northern Virginia. She now lives in Woodbridge with her husband James, their baby daughter, Amayah, and seven year old Rottweiler, Nala.
